I’m happy to announce that Dawn of Chaos will be included in the upcoming “Black Friday/Cyber Monday” Edition of the Big Based Book Sale!
“Bypass cultural gatekeeping, support non-woke authors, and get yourself some great books from both established and emerging talent for only $0.99 – many titles free!“
Sponsored by Hans Schantz (aka Aetherczar) and scheduled to coincide with Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, it will begin on Wednesday, November 22nd, and run for seven days through midnight, Wednesday, September 29th. Hans will be posting a link to the sale on the afternoon of the 22nd; when he does, I will update this post to include it.
Hans’ Big Based Book Sales have become a tri-annual tradition that I’ve been proud to be part of. While I haven’t made a point of marketing my work this way until fairly recently, it is very much “outside the mainstream” of what has become acceptable in today’s publishing world. That is one of many reasons why I chose to be an indie.
I don’t exactly consider myself a “conservative.” But with themes that are firmly rooted in anti-establishment traditions of independent thought and individualism, my work is antithetical to the “woke” messaging that dominates modern Science Fiction and Fantasy publishing. That alignment makes it, in current cultural parlance, based.
A great article on Hans’ Big Based Book Sales appeared recently in The Federalist. I highly recommend it to anyone who supports, or wants to understand, the backlash against the censoriousness of today’s publishing, and the trend toward independent movements to circumvent it.
In addition to sponsoring the Big Based Book Sales, Hans is an accomplished science fiction author and a physicist publishing a fascinating new series of articles on electromagnetism. For those interested, check out his website, and his Substacks here and here.
