Prologue to Chaos and The Return of the Horde, the first two books in the Sanctum of the Archmage Saga, are now available from all major e-book retailers!

The Return of the Horde is the sequel to Prologue to Chaos, which introduces the exciting new epic fantasy series. It is also the first of four novella-length “episodes” in the novel Hell Gate, which will be released at three week intervals between now and the end of May. Hell Gate will be followed in June by the novella Aftermath.

These six books are already available directly from Andarian Publishing, on this website. The upcoming four books are also available for pre-order now on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes and Noble (“Nook”), and Rakuten Kobo, as well as several international bookstores. Together, these six books comprise Dawn of Chaos, the first of ten epic-length volumes planned for the Sanctum saga. The next book in the series, The Ring of the Killravens, will be released on April 14, 2022.

Dawn of Chaos Wide Release Schedule

Dawn of Chaos will be released on multiple bookstore platforms at intervals from March through June 2022.

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve now finalized a wide release schedule for the six novella-length “episodes” in Dawn of Chaos, the first volume in the Sanctum of the Archmage Saga.


Pre-orders have been set up for each book on all of the major e-book sellers, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Barnes and Noble, and Rakuten Kobo. Beginning this week, on March 3rd, these pre-orders will begin going on sale on the schedule listed below:

Dawn of Chaos Wide Release Schedule: Bookstores and Dates

Draft2Digital links point to Universal Book Link (UBL) pages for each book, which will include sites on which they will be available in addition to the major booksellers. Currently that will include Scribd, as well as several library systems. With the upcoming acquisition of Smashwords by Draft2Digital, this list is expected to increase in the near future.

Now that the release schedule for the books is set, my next step will be to plan several marketing and promotional campaigns for the series, and to send out a (long overdue) newsletter update. So stay tuned for more news to come!

Dawn of Chaos: Wide Launch!

I’ve now (finally!) completed preparing the six books of Sanctum of the Archmage Volume I: Dawn of Chaos for a wide release on every major e-book platform. The last step before that can move forward is to researching book promotion sites to (finally) set up for a proper launch for the series. Details will come soon, once I’ve figured out a schedule and set up the ads and promotions to support it. I anticipate that should all happen by the end of March, give or take a few weeks.

On release, the six novella-length episodes in Dawn of Chaos will appear in the following online bookstores: Apple Books, Rakuten Kobo, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon Kindle (for purchase only, not in Kindle Unlimited). They will also be available in a number of smaller, additional stores, subscription and library systems through Kobo and Draft2Digital, including: Tolino, Vivlio, Scribd, Overdrive, Bibliotheca, Baker & Taylor, and BorrowBox.

Right now I’m doing some very interesting marketing research into various book promotion sites, such as Book Barbarian, Robin Reads, Books Butterfly, Bargain Booksy, and the like. Wide marketing is turning out to be quite different than the standard “All In With Amazon” approach that many indie authors tend to favor.

Dawn of Chaos – New Covers

I’m now preparing for a wider release (with some actual marketing and promotion, finally!) for the six books in Dawn of Chaos, Volume One of the Sanctum of the Archmage Saga. Here are the newly re-worked covers for the six novella-length installments in the series. In addition to Andarian Publishing and Kobo, I’m planning for the new release to include Barnes and Noble, Apple Books, and Amazon Kindle. I may also include some smaller book sites via aggregation using Draft2Digital.

Cover Reveal: Aftermath

Without further ado, here is the final draft of the cover for my upcoming book, Aftermath!

Aftermath is the sixth and final book in Dawn of Chaos, the first volume in the Sanctum of the Archmage saga. It will be available for purchase from Andarian Publishing here on Friday, December 24th, and on selected online bookstores (beginning with Kobo) shortly thereafter.

Aftermath is an “epilogue novella” that follows the four parts of Dawn of Chaos, Book 2: Hell Gate. It tells the story of what happens to the main characters after the Massacre of Lannamon, and serves as a bridge from Dawn of Chaos to the first book in Volume II of the saga, Crucible of Heroes: Wrath of the Peregrine King. The planned three parts of Crucible of Heroes will be my major writing project for 2022, and I expect them to be out next year.

The Eastern Continent reels in the aftermath of the demon invasion. Zomoran’s armies sweep over the land. Orion and Diana struggle to find a way to fulfill their oath under the new order as a determined resistance forms in the capital city. Great and small, the valiant of Carlissa commit themselves to a holy war against the Horde.

And no one believes that the princess and her grandfather, the Archmage, could possibly have survived the Massacre of Lannamon. But could they?

My next two near-term projects will be to republish the four parts of Hell Gate into a single volume with a newly commissioned cover, and to produce a “box set” of all three books to be published in multiple formats: e-book, audiobook, and print on demand.

I’m also excited to announce that I’ve started working with Tiffanie Gray of Immortal Moments Art to produce cover art for the series. She did the Aftermath cover pictured here, which needless to say I think looks fantastic.
